As their business continued to grow, Rationale needed a new Retail CMS to service their customers around the globe. The solution needed to be able to scale with the company, robust enough to manage and track large sales volumes, but nimble enough to be managed and administered by the digital and marketing team.

Rationale needed a scaleable solution that enabled its small team to deliver great experiences to its customers

In 2017, Loud&Clear were engaged by Rationale to re-platform their existing Magento retail website.

As an Australian company, the small team in Melbourne needed a platform that would allow them to administer sales, marketing, inventory and delivery to their global audience. The build needed to be able to scale with the company, robust enough to manage and track large sales volumes, but nimble enough to be managed and administered by the digital and marketing team.

Loud&Clear implemented Sitecore Commerce 8.2.1 for Rationale, in the process delivering a leading global example of Connected Commerce on Sitecore.

The Rationale team is able use the power of the world’s best CMS to achieve their marketing aspirations of being a content driven brand, using the CMS to market their high value, desirable product. With content personalised based on the user’s self-identified skincare requirements and location info, Rationale is able to manage a vast library of education and brand resources, delivering them to segments, with components individualised to the customers needs.

The presentation layer is fully customisable, and driven by Sitecore’s Helix Architecture. Content Authors are able to drag and drop components to create new landing and campaign pages.

 

Robust payment integrations and personalisation ensures Rationale remains globally competitive

The CMS integrates with eWay for payments including multi-currency capability depending on the location of the end users IP address. Customised pricing tables are served to customers based on their location, allowing Rationale to remain globally competitive wherever they offer their products online.

Component driven architecture empowers Rationale’s team to test, learn and act quickly

The component driven architecture allows for Rationale, and Loud&Clear to deliver a test and learn approach, data on customer interaction with individual components allows for simple A/B testing, and switching out of components based on findings without an impact to the end user, or the remainder of the website.

Even simple data discoveries, such as identifying higher performing CTA’s mean we can rapidly implement the better performing CTA instantly across the entire website.

The CMS is integrated with in-store and POS systems, allowing Rationales team to have an omni-channel view of the customer. To further enhance the customer experience, Loud&Clear integrated with live chat, and virtual clinic sessions to help drive customer acquisition and retention, all contributing to the customer profile, and feeding further personalisation.
